How I Became My Husband's Girlfriend

Here comes part tres - I'm working on my spanish - of my 5-8+ part series about my relationship with my husband. It has been fascinating so far and I know you can't wait for the next installment. I've talked about how I met my husband and how I got to know him. Now we're getting to the dating part of our relationship.

Dating... if you can call it that. We basically went from "hanging out" to being "exclusive." I'm not sure "why" I feel the "need" to keep "using" those "quotation marks." Anyways, our transition from hanging out to exclusive happened on a Friday afternoon in ... late November early December. Guy and I were at his parents house watching Road to Perdition. Very romantic. We were leaning up against the couch on the floor in the living room. The movie ended and we -

oh wait! I don't think I told you guys about when Guy watched the entire Pride and Prejudice circa 1995. My favorite film version of that story. He sat through the whole 6 hours. Not in one sitting mind you, but it happened. That sealed the deal for me (#priorities), and this happened during our hang out phase. He was putting in the time that's for sure.

Anyways, we were watching the credits and Guy turns to me and says these fatal fateful words, "So, why don't we call this what it is? ......... Will you be my girlfriend?"
Me: "Yeah"
Guy: "Can I kiss you now?" (we had only been occasionally holding hands up to this point)
Me: "Yup"

Aaaaand that's where my story ends.

Some might accuse Guy of asking me out only to get in my pants. Thankfully he proved that train of thought false when he decided to stick around. I sure made it difficult for him to do that though.

^^This picture is from just a few months later. Aren't we such a happy couple?^^

Look out for a post about dating sometime in the future of this blog.

Peace and Prosperity
(I'm trying out different blog sendoffs ... send offs ... this one seems legit)
