This is an Annelise and Rebecca original. I can't remember exactly who came up with this first, but we both have enjoyed it throughout our childhood. I recently resurrected this snack and have had it multiple times this week.

We like to call it, "Melted String Cheese."

You will need a plate (paper or not), mozzarella string cheese, and a microwave.

Remove the string cheese and place it on the plate. Put the plate in the microwave. I would recommend 1 minute to 1 minute 15 seconds on a paper plate and 1 minute 15 seconds to 1 minute 30 seconds on a glass or ceramic plate.

Your string cheese will look something like this. This is borderline too cooked for me.

After you remove the string cheese from the microwave immediately use a fork to pry the cheese from the plate. If you let it sit it can be virtually impossible to get off the plate.

And enjoy! Probably the easiest thing to make besides a cup of water!

Please, feel free to pin this recipe!

P.S. While this post may be laced with sarcasm, I actually do LOVE melted string cheese.

P.P.S. This is the coffee table after three coats of stain. I'm still not 100% satisfied with the color.
