A True Blogger Post Containing Free Pallets, Instructions, and Links!

Y'all are in for a treat. I've got three blog posts with pictures that I'm going to put up today! One is a DIY, another is an original recipe and the last one is about shopping local. I am such a legit blogger right now.

I'm leaving for a week and a half trip tomorrow and won't be gracing you with my presence until I get back. Since you have all been so patient I'll start with the coffee table.

It all started when we became broke. Oh wait - we've always been broke. Guy has an extensive background in construction from plumbing, to painting, the framing, to many other things I do not know the name of. He got this idea to build all of our furniture from free pallets! Pallet furniture always looks so great online ....

I'm not going to pretend that this coffee table hasn't already been made a thousand times by a thousand bloggers, so don't expect any details in the instructions.

First, you'll need a husband, free pallets, and other tools.
Second, take pictures for 6 hours.
And, voila, you get a coffee table!

Please, ignore Guy's atrocious body  mechanics. He didn't have any type of work table and was so determined to build the coffee table that he just plowed right through.

Guy said that taking the pallets apart was the hardest part.

Beau and I were exhausted at this point.

I kept trying to get a picture of the table, but Beau kept getting in the way.

We are currently in the process of staining it. Those legs are not going to be the ones we keep on there. I had originally wanted hairpin legs, but this thing is pretty large and I think it would look top heavy. We're in the process of deciding what to do about the legs.

And that's how you spend a Sunday.
